Myra
Prior to founding of FIRST READS, over ten years ago, Myra Westphall worked with writers as a free lance editor for almost twenty years.  For six years she was an editor and personal assistant to a best selling author.  For several years she operated a lecture agency, booking writers and artists into venues nation-wide.

Barbara
Barbara Villasenor is a graduate of UC Berkeley and Radcliffe College's Publishing Procedures Course.  She has worked as a junior literary agent for the Zeigler-Ross Agency in Los Angeles and as a manuscript reader for Bantam Books' West Coast office.  For ten years Barbara was the owner of the award- winning Charles Publishing Company where she was responsible for editorial, design and promotional facets of publishing and marketing books.
